This month’s Rad Ride comes from our Strongsville location! One of the lead technicians recommended the owner, Dan Wilson, submit his car to our Rad Ride of the Month contest. Our techs have seen this car in the shop before and were impressed with Dan’s work. He has spent years modifying this 1996 TransAm. The TransAm was originally a manual drive vehicle, but when Dan took ownership in 1998, he converted the car to a 6-speed automatic with the help of Rad Air mechanics. Among its other modifications are a Vortech Supercharger and a 383 Stroker engine which give the car about 550 horsepower. The car has about 48,000 miles on it and Dan admits he does not drive the car as much as he would like. Working on the vehicle and making modifications are a hobby for him in his spare time. Dan’s favorite things about his TransAm are it’s style, speed, and deep, rumbling sound.
Check out our photo shoot with the car at the Strongsville Rad Air parking lot below. Paul, Bill and the other technicians at this location absolutely love the way Dan has taken a 1996 Trans Am and made it his own.
As our Rad Ride winner for the month of April, Dan is taking home a free lube, oil and filter change for use on any vehicle at any Rad Air location!
