Westlake Auto Shop Repairs Cool Classic Car!

This month’s Rad Ride of the Month belongs to Marty Sulzmann of Bay Village, Ohio.  Take a look at Mr. Sulzmann’s precious 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible.  You will only see his car on the road during sunny days!  Mr. Sulzmann found the car in a barn back in 1986.  For 15 years, he personally did any work on the vehicle to keep it running.  It wasn’t until he visited our auto shop in Westlake that he felt comfortable trusting technicians with his precious Corvair.  The crew of mechanics at Westlake have performed all of the vehicle’s services to keep it running great.  Mr. Sulzmann’s favorite memory of the vehicle is driving it in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Car Facts:

Chevy produced the Corvair as a response to the Volkswagen Beetle and other new compact cars.

The Corvair later faced competition from the Ford Falcon and the Mercury Comet.

Chevy produced the Corvair for the model years 1960-1969.

At the time, the Corvair was the only American-made, mass-produced passenger vehicle with a rear-mounted air-cooled engine.
