While digital maps, apps and GPS systems are undeniably convenient, paper maps offer a little more. Print and laminate the map of your route. You never know when you may need to find a reliable detour or need to make an emergency stop. You can also use the maps to occupy your children’s time. Ask them if they can find a certain city on the map so they can keep track of how far you’ve come. Have them trace your route on the laminated map with a dry-erase marker as you go!
