If your hybrid vehicle is registered in an E-Check county, it must be compliant with the inspection policies of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which includes passing the Ohio E-Check. The Ohio E-Check is the state’s plan to reduce contaminants and pollutants from vehicle emissions. Plug-in electric vehicles (as well as plug-in hybrid vehicles) are given an exemption from vehicle emission testing under Ohio’s EPA regulations, but any vehicle that can use gasoline to operate typically requires an emissions inspection.
If your hybrid fails the E-Check or you would like to have its emission system inspected before you take it to an E-Check station, Rad Air can provide a solution. Our technicians are very familiar with the E-Check and have specialized knowledge and training working with hybrid vehicles.
Our hybrid specialists are Ohio E-Check certified and receive special training to diagnose and repair vehicle emissions issues. Whether you have already identified a concern with your hybrid’s emission system or you simply want the system to be thoroughly inspected, we are ready to help. We will identify any issues and perform any needed repairs on your hybrid.
