Rad Air technicians are held to very high standards. Not only do we expect professionalism and a willingness to work as a team, we employ the best technicians in the industry. All Rad Air technicians are expected to hold or work toward earning their ASE-certifications as they become eligible and participate in ongoing education and training provided by Rad Air.
ASE stands for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence and is the organization which administers testing of automotive technicians and service professionals. In order to qualify for the test, technicians must have at least two years of on-the-job training or a combination of one year training and a two-year degree in automotive repair. Certifications only last for 5 years and must be renewed through retesting to keep up with advancing technology.
We encourage our technicians to study for the following ASE tests:
A technician who passes the first eight tests is considered a Master Mechanic. We are proud to employ at least one Master Mechanic at each Rad Air location in addition to the Service Managers who oversee the repair of your vehicle. Our reputation for being able to fix any vehicle no matter how old or new, foreign or domestic is due in part to our dedicated technicians. The Rad Air team is the most educated group of auto repair technicians in the area!
