Is Your Car Ready for Summer?

The end of the school year is almost here. Long-planned vacations are at last inching closer on the calendar. The days are getting longer and the temperatures in Northeast Ohio are finally warming up. Soon there will be road trips and treks to the lake or the beach. Summer is on its way! But is your car ready? Here are just a few ways you can get your car ready for the season.

Time for a car wash! If you’ll be spending a lot of time in your vehicle during the summer, why not give it a refresh? You will need to get rid of all the grime and residue on your car that built up from road salt and dirt during the winter. Consider pulling out the hose, buckets and sponges at home and letting the whole family pitch in on a warm afternoon! Or, if you are short on time, take a trip through your local car wash. Don’t forget to clean the interior, too. Vacuum the floors and between seats, wipe down the interior surfaces, and take the opportunity to “declutter” any items that can be thrown away or relocated back into your home.
