Spring has Sprung

Time for You to Spring Into Action for Your Vehicle

Well, Northeast Ohio, we made it. We had what we would consider a mild winter, but even a mild Cleveland winter can take its toll on your vehicle. Ice, snow, and salt do their damage on the exterior, potholes wreak havoc on tires and your suspension, and cold weather is brutal under the hood. Spring is a time to refresh, and that’s no exception when it comes to your car or truck. We thought we’d help you game plan for the season with our 2020 Spring Vehicle Maintenance Checklist for your Cleveland and Akron vehicles.

Tip #1: Get an Oil Change

Season changes are great reminders that it might be time for an oil change.

Tip #2: Get a Tune-Up

Modern vehicle tune-ups aren’t the same as they used to be, but they are important. Get your battery, charging and starting systems, and engine checked out for the season.

Tip #3: Check Those Fluids

Engine oil, brake and transmission fluids, power steering fluid, antifreeze, and even your wiper fluid should be checked heading into spring.

Tip #4: Maintain hoses and belts

Check all of your belts, hoses, and clamps for wear and tear after the grind of winter.

Tip #5: Visually Inspect Your Brakes

Make sure your brake pads are still intact and that your linings, rotors, and drums are clean and free of holes or damage.

We know what you’re thinking. “That sounds like work.” You’re right. That’s why you should go online and schedule a Spring Complete Vehicle Inspection with Rad Air.
