This tradition, which dates back more than 20 years, is indeed designed to make clients smile, as well as to make them feel truly appreciated. Rad Air of Medina, a full-fledged automotive repair facility focused on auto electrical work and drivability issues, knows that clients have many choices for their vehicle repair services. To the shop’s manager, Chuck Melinsky (who has worked with Rad Air since 1982 and relocated to the new Medina location in 1999), putting clients first means offering honest advice and fair prices. Chuck has been with Rad Air for nearly 40 years, and spending that amount of time at an auto repair shop comes with its own stories. Take the time that his team serviced a Mercury Mountaineer that had been driven into a pond. Water drained out of the oil pan for more than 10 minutes before any actual oil came out.
Or, recently, his technicians discovered a nest of baby mice inside the AC system of a client’s vehicle. The mice had made their way through the ventilation system and eaten a big hole in the cabin filter.
There is no such thing as a “normal day” in the Rad Air of Medina shop, and the team is well equipped to work closely together to solve even the most unusual automotive problems. As Chuck says, “Teamwork is our philosophy.” When one technician is working on a car, there are always two other technicians that oversee the job to make sure it’s done right.
