Rad Air Announces the Launch of Hybrid1

May 27, 2022

Rad Air Complete Car Care and Tire Centers, Northeast Ohio’s leader in automotive repair and maintenance services, has announced the launch of Hybrid1, its new hybrid and EV repair division.

In March 2014, Rad Air launched its first formal hybrid division—known as Cleveland Hybrid—to specialize in hybrid and electric vehicle repairs, maintenance, and replacement batteries. As Rad Air’s hybrid services have since grown and expanded, this division has now evolved into Hybrid1.

Rad Air continues to invest in hybrid technologies, equipment, and education. All technicians are kept up to date with timely and advanced training through the Automotive Career Development Center, a Massachusetts-based training company that specializes in hybrid and plug-in vehicles. Each Rad Air Complete Car Care location has the training and equipment to service and repair hybrid and electric vehicles, providing vehicle owners with a dealership alternative. Many locations also have hybrids in their loan fleet.

“Announcing Hybrid1 as the hybrid and EV repair experts is the next step in Rad Air’s long journey of servicing hybrid vehicles dating back to 2005,” said Andy Fiffick, founder of Rad Air Complete Car Care. “As we continue to grow our hybrid and electric vehicle capabilities, we have refreshed our name to reflect the level of comprehensive services we provide. Hybrid1 is now ready to handle our clients’ hybrid and EV needs.”

Fiffick previously won a national hybrid SUV fuel-economy rally sponsored by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association of Greenfield, Massachusetts to bring attention to the use of hybrid vehicles to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy. He drove his Ford Escape Hybrid for 14 hours through the night to complete the 548-mile trip from Cleveland to Sarasota Springs, NY, averaging 43 miles per gallon—the best fuel-economy performance in his category.
