When you spend decades in the automotive industry, you accumulate a significant history of advocacy, service, and leadership: That’s just what Andy Fiffick, Founder and CEO of Rad Air Complete Car Care and Tire Centers and Hybrid1, has done not only in Cleveland but nationally.
“Our industry is changing at an accelerated pace,” said Andy. “The need for education for both technicians and management has never been more important.”
Andy has demonstrated this through his participation in numerous voluntary advisory positions and automotive training opportunities. He has been a member of the Mobile Air Climate Systems Association (MACS) since 1987 and has been a MACS director for the past 18 years. He is currently CEO and Chairman of the Board. MACS serves as a central repository for automotive air conditioning to provide unbiased information to shop owners and technicians including technical resources and training.
“MACS is dedicated to advocating for the service providers to ensure better air conditioning service for the consumer,” said Peter Coll, President and CEO of MACS. “We could not ask for a better leader for this mission than Andy Fiffick. His support of education, training for his team, and forward thinking is a benchmark that can, and should, be used by all.”
In addition to his role with MACS, Andy holds Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician certification and his shops have been recognized by the ASE as Blue Seal Shops of Excellence. The shops are also State of Ohio-approved E-Check (emissions) repair centers and members of the Automotive Service Association (ASA).
The ASA is the only non-profit automotive trade association of its kind that is dedicated to independent service and repair professionals. Andy currently has a position on the ASA’s Mechanical Operations Committee.
“Andy serves as a key member of one of ASA’s primary working committees, the Mechanical Operations Committee, which focuses on important industry issues as they relate to the business of mechanical service and repair,” said Julie Massaro, Executive Director of ASA. “We have found his insight and input invaluable to ASA in this role.”
Andy is also the vice chairman—and past chairman—of the Cleveland Better Business Bureau (BBB). Andy has been on the BBB Board of Directors for 17 years, and highly values the BBB’s core mission and organization as a whole.
“Empathy, honesty, integrity, and trust are not just words to me,” said Andy. “They’re the lifeblood of any great organization, and I’m proud our teams embody the spirit of these words in our daily interactions with our clients.”
