This year, Rad Air has a special focus: encouraging current vocational automotive students to participate in the event and explore career opportunities in the automotive repair industry.
“We’re excited to be involved with the career day and skills competition at this year’s Piston Power Show.”, said Bill Snow, Vice President of Franchise Development and Operations at Rad Air Complete Car Care. “Discussing a rewarding career in the automotive aftermarket with today’s high school students is just one of the ways that we continue to engage with future technicians.”
Rad Air is partnering with Pull-A-Part and Matrix Trade Institute to host a skills competition for high school students. Two weeks prior to the Piston Power Show, students will be invited to take the online challenge and test their automotive repair knowledge. The grand prize winner and runners-up will be announced and awarded at the show.
The grand prize winner will receive a 3-year paid internship at Rad Air that includes a tailored training plan that was created in partnership with Matrix Trade Institute. The paid internship will allow the winning student to be part of Rad Air’s Apprenticeship Program, a structured program that aligns with the student’s career development goals and also provides a career mentor. During the internship, the student will attend training courses at Matrix Trade Institute, which will be paid for by Rad Air.
