One day, a car that had not been used in four years was towed into the Strongsville shop. After the owner’s husband had passed away, she had first taken the car to another local shop, but they could not get it running. She decided to bring it to Rad Air. After a lot of TLC, a tune-up, suspension services, and overhauling the brake system, the team at the Strongsville shop got the car running. They have slowly been rebuilding it for her as time permits.
This experience illustrates what sets Rad Air of Strongsville apart from other auto repair shops: The team is always willing to go above and beyond for their clients, no matter how big or small the job is.
This commitment is led by husband-and-wife team Mike and Linda Munger, who have owned and operated the Strongsville location for nearly a decade. Mike has been in automotive repair since 1973, when he started as a technician at Kmart in Westlake. Mike and Linda previously owned Rad Air’s Solon location. In the fall of 2010, Mike and Linda were looking for a property to open another automotive repair shop, they decided to build in Strongsville, and opened in July of 2011.
The spacious Strongsville shop features ten bays with lots of room for technicians to work. Because it is in a prime, convenient location, business at the shop has continued to grow. You will find that spending time in the Strongsville shop’s waiting room is more like relaxing in your living room. The waiting area includes comfortable couches, large-screen TVs, cafe tables, a fireplace, complimentary coffee, and clean bathrooms. The room’s size ensures safe social distancing while you wait. And if you prefer not to wait, the Strongsville shop offers ten loaner cars. Fun fact: Mike and Linda have a muscle car collection and enjoy showing them off. Just don’t ask to use one as a loaner vehicle!
Mike and Linda have built a great team at the Strongsville shop. Dan Wille, a master technician, has been with the Mungers since 2005 at the Solon location. Mike always says that Dan could run the shop in his absence! The other technicians at the shop include Bill Cook, Mike Fairley, and Justin DiMassa. Bill will celebrate his ten-year anniversary this summer, and Mike Fairley has been a technician for eight years. Justin, a general service mechanic, started with Rad Air when he was 18 years old and has grown significantly in the four years that he has been part of the team.
